Trauma Center Re-accredited

SBH has gone through the rigorous process of trauma center reaccreditation by the American College of Surgeons on behalf of New York State and been successfully reaccredited as a trauma center.  This was a multidisciplinary multi-departmental process with strong collaboration across SBH clinical and administrative departments to bring about this successful outcome.   Verified trauma centers must meet the essential criteria that ensure trauma care capability and institutional performance, as outlined by the American College of Surgeons’ Committee on Trauma in its current Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient manual.
