Internal Medicine
Welcome to the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital. As the largest academic and clinical department at St. Barnabas, we are committed to the delivery of outstanding patient care, education and clinical research.
The Department of Internal Medicine comprises 13 formal sections that provide comprehensive medical services, from preventive primary care to diagnosis and treatment in our specialty care services.
The Department’s mission encompasses patient care, education and research. Patient care is our first priority since the other components of our mission depend on excellence in patient care. The department’s faculty sees patients directly and provides hands-on supervision for every one of our patients seen by house staff. The extensive clinical programs are strengthened by a long and esteemed tradition of training fellows, residents and students in academic medicine.
