Mobile Mammography
The St. Barnabas Mobile Mammography program provides women of the Bronx with comprehensive, quality healthy breast education, clinical breast examinations, mammography and follow-up diagnostic services by reaching out to the community on the Mobile Mammography Van. Staffed by a physician’s assistant and peer educators, the van makes scheduled trips to neighborhoods and events organized by community-based local civic organizations, senior centers, women’s groups, houses of worship, and other public and private agencies.
St. Barnabas offers the only Mobile Mammography Van unit that is Bronx-based and Bronx-dedicated. Mobile Mammography services, including printed materials, are available in English and Spanish.
