SBH Staff Recognized for Haiti Contributions

Sally Urang, RN, CNM, and Dr. Billy Ford accepted the honors for St. Barnabas Hospital at the Greater New York Hospital Association awards ceremony “Honoring Haiti’s Heroes: Recognizing Haitian Earthquake Medical Responders,” on the evening of May 27 at the IAC building in Manhattan. The nine responders from St. Barnabas included five doctors, two midwives, one nurse and one social worker.

In a tribute to the responders, GNYHA President Kenneth Raske said, “Greater New York Hospital Association salutes the brave men and women who delivered—and continue to deliver—lifesaving medical care and supplies following the Haitian earthquake. We honor your bravery, selflessness, and compassion.”
