Ear, Nose and Throat

Otolaryngology is the specialty treatment of the head and neck as well as the ear, nose and throat (ENT).  The ENT surgeons at SBH Health System treat both children and adults for acute and chronic conditions such as:

  • Allergies
  • Sinus and nasal disfunction
  • Hearing and balance loss
  • Speech and swallowing disorders
  • Sleep apnea
  • Facial nerve disorders
  • Benign and malignant tumors

Our board certified surgeons believe that the best results are achieved by identifying and treating the underlying causes of chronic conditions, not by simply treating the symptoms.  The following is a close look at how we treat each area:

Head and Neck

No specialist knows more about the intricate and complex anatomy of the head and neck than an otolaryngologists.  IN this area, the otolaryngologists performs both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, removes tumors, and treats other head and neck related medical conditions.

Ear

Hearing loss is a widespread and common problem.  We diagnose and treat problems with hearing, infections of the ear, and ear-related dizziness.  We have certified audiologists on staff to conduct hearing exams on the same day as requested.

Nose

This included treatment for the nasal sinuses, breathing problems, sleep apnea, and cosmetic problems.

Throat

We manage problems with infections, voice, and swallowing disorders that may include the tonsils, adenoids, voice box, and the upper portion of your food pipe (pharynx and upper esophagus).
