Dedicated track time occurs during the final two years of training. During PGY-3 and PGY-4, residents have dedicated rotations to explore their niche interests in emergency medicine and associated subspecialties. Junior residents have time to do so during their electives and then pick their desired track at the end of the second year.
Critical Care/Resuscitation Track The critical care track is designed to provide additional training and exposure to critical care resuscitation and ICU management of patients. This is done under the preceptorship of both emergency and critical care trained attendings and includes additional training time in the ICU. |
