SBH’s Addiction Medicine Department offers comprehensive services to help people in their fight against chemical and alcohol dependencies. SBH’s team of Credentialed Addiction Substance Abuse Counselors (CASAC), physicians and nurse practitioners provide supportive services in a friendly, respectful environment with the assurance of complete confidentiality. Patients receive a full medical and substance use evaluation and a treatment program tailored to their individual needs.

Outpatient Alcohol and Substance Abuse Department Services

• Individual, group and family counseling
• Parenting classes
• Domestic violence counseling
• Smoking cessation program
• Stress and anger management

Methadone Maintenance and Suboxone Treatment Services

• Individual counseling
• Monitoring TASC, HRA, Domestic Violence Court, ACS and Bronx Treatment Court referrals
• Trauma counseling
• Workshops on stress relief, drug-free lifestyles and healthy eating

 

Detox (inpatient) services

• Detox for alcohol and other drugs
• HIV/AIDS testing and education
• Alcohol/substance abuse counseling
• Recreational groups
