Ronald McLean, MD, FACS
Director, Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine

The Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine, a collaborative effort between SBH Health System and Restorix Health, a national wound management organization, offers a comprehensive approach for patients with chronic wound issues. These include diabetic foot and leg ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, chronic bone infection, sub-acute peripheral arterial insufficiency, radiation and crush injuries and other non-healing wounds.

The Center’s multi-disciplinary team includes physicians with advanced training in vascular and podiatric surgery, wound management, and hyperbaric medicine and nurses skilled in chronic wound care treatment.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy uses 100% pressurized oxygen to promote healing. The local community has high rates of diabetes and many diabetics are susceptible to slow and non-healing wounds. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is an important component in the center’s patient care.

Services include:

  • Systemic hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • Access to cutting-edge diagnostic equipment
  • Reconstruction of diabetic feet
  • Bioengineered skin substitutes-graft applications
  • Aggressive surgical interventions
  • Compression therapy
