Outstanding patient care is the goal of our Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Our four board certified gastroenterologists specialize in treating a wide array of digestive tract disorders of the esophagus, stomach, pancreas, small intestine, colon, gallbladder and liver disease.
The hospital has dedicated gastrointestinal and liver disease clinical office hours with an emphasis on colorectal cancer screening and diagnosis of gastrointestinal disorders, as well as Hepatitis B and C treatment. We treat patients with conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), colon cancer, pancreatitis, peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, Barrett’s esophagus, viral hepatitis, and nonalcoholic liver disease.

Upper endoscopy
At SBH Health System, this procedure helps diagnose and manage conditions like acid reflux, ulcers, and inflammation.
Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
We use EUS to assess and stage cancers, investigate pancreatic disorders, and evaluate gastrointestinal issues with high precision.
Enteroscopy
This procedure is employed to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the small intestine, such as bleeding, tumors, and inflammation.
A contrast dye is injected into the ducts through a scope inserted via the mouth, followed by X-rays. At SBH Health System, ERCP is used to diagnose and treat conditions like blockages, stones, and tumors in these ducts.
