In the Department of Neurology, our dedicated team of physicians and nurses focuses on diagnosing and treating disorders of the nervous system, which manages and coordinates bodily functions. This includes both the central nervous system—comprising the brain and spinal cord—and the peripheral nervous system, which encompasses the eyes, ears, skin, and other sensory receptors.

In our Department of Neurology, we offer a full spectrum of services dedicated to diagnosing and treating disorders of the nervous system.

We provide care for neurological disorders and conditions including:

• Cerebrovascular disease, such as stroke
• Demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system, such as multiple sclerosis
• Headache disorders
• Infections of the brain and peripheral nervous system
• Movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease
• Neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease)
• Seizure disorders, such as epilepsy
• Spinal cord disorders
• Speech and language disorders
• Pediatric neurology

• CT scan within 20 minutes of arrival for acute stroke
