Our Department of Rehabilitation Medicine provides comprehensive rehabilitation services for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Our inpatient program specifically targets the restoration of mobility and function for individuals recovering from trauma or acute medical conditions.

Our services are delivered by licensed physical and occupational therapists using the latest equipment and treatment methods. Many of our staff members are also certified in specialty areas such as pediatric therapy, hand therapy, lymphedema treatment, spinal manipulation, and joint mobilization.

We provide ambulation and gait training to help patients improve their walking abilities and mobility. Transfer training is offered to assist individuals in moving safely from one surface to another, such as from a bed to a wheelchair.

Additionally, we focus on strengthening, endurance training, and general conditioning to build physical resilience and improve daily functioning.

We also address balance and coordination through targeted training to reduce the risk of falls and enhance stability.

Pain management is an integral part of our services, aimed at alleviating discomfort and improving quality of life.

Our team provides specialized wound care and management to support healing and recovery. To facilitate a smooth transition back to everyday life, we offer community re-entry skills training.

Moreover, we prioritize patient, client, and family/caregiver education to ensure a comprehensive understanding of treatment plans and techniques for continued progress at home.

We provide self-care skills training to support individuals in managing personal hygiene, dressing, and other essential activities.

Our wheelchair mobility training ensures that patients can navigate their environment safely and effectively. We also offer cognitive and perceptual training to enhance orientation, memory, and problem-solving abilities.

In addition, our services include transfer training for navigating between the tub/shower and toilet, as well as upper extremity coordination, strengthening, and conditioning exercises.

Pain management is addressed to improve comfort and functionality. We also provide upper extremity splinting and prosthetic training to aid in rehabilitation and adaptation.

To support reintegration into the community, we offer skills training for daily life activities. Education for patients, clients, and their families or caregivers is a key component, ensuring that everyone involved is well-informed and equipped to support ongoing recovery and independence.
